What is Occupational
Therapy?
Occupational therapy is a healthcare profession that focuses on helping individuals of all ages engage in meaningful and purposeful activities, or "occupations," to enhance their well-being and quality of life. Occupational therapists work with people facing physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges, such as those resulting from injury, disability, or developmental disorders. Through a holistic approach, they assess a person's abilities and limitations, collaborating with clients to set personalized goals and develop tailored interventions. The aim is to promote independence, improve functional skills, and enable individuals to participate in daily activities at home, work, school, or in the community, ultimately fostering optimal health and life satisfaction.
